Our premiere, best-selling product is our beautifully-lined plush custom-crafted coats for your special canine.

Our snuggly warm coats are specially made for cool, cold and wet weather needs of all dog breeds. And although we do make coats for all breeds, we specialize in fitting the deep-chested, narrow-waisted breeds like Greyhounds. We also custom create matching Snoods to keep those lovely necks warm. Our coats come in three styles, all defined by the collar type. We offer two fabric weights, one for cool temperatures and the other for cold.

Our Coat Features
  • A side patch pocket to hold small personal items, such as a cookie or biscuit, business card or spare house key
  • On the large coats, we include our Signature Snood ™ which keeps those long, lovely necks warm and protected. Sorry, Snoods are not available on our small coats.
  • Tailored fit includes darts on the hind quarter
  • A wide chest wrap (depending on the dog's size, 9-11 inches long) that is secured by a 1.5 inch adjustable Velcro closure. No cold bellies with our coat!

Two Coat Weights:

  • Lightweight - Perfect for cool temperatures. Single layer of fleece
  • Medium/heavy weight - Our winter warmer with a double fleece layer

Three Collar Styles:

  • Trench coat style: This coat features a 9-12 inch long collar that tapers out 3 inches and is approximately 3 inches wide.

  • Straight collar style:  This simple but striking collar is rectangular shaped; it folds over and lies flat against the coat.

  • Mandarin collar style:  This lovely collar is rectangular in shape and stands up rather than lying flat against the coat. It is approximately 11 inches long by 3 inches.

Coat Care:  Our coats are designed from fit to fabric for your dog's wash-and-wear life. Durably constructed, they are machine washable (excluding wool fabric coats). To wash, simply turn them inside out and make sure the Velcro is securely fastened before tossing them in the washer. The fleece may have some water repellency if washed with powder detergent (instead of liquid).

The Fit - Easy as A-B-C

Our coats are custom made to fit your dog based on the measurements you provide to us. Our beautiful coats are not made until you order it. Please use the following measurement guides and diagram to measure your dog. You'll have to measure length, chest circumference and chest width.

Length - Measurement A on the diagram. Generally, sizes are based on a measurement along the spine from approximately 1 inch below the dog's collar (when he or she is standing) to the base of the tail (or wherever you want the coat to end). Some folks like more tail coverage than others.

You are responsible for providing accurate measurements of your dog, but here are some general measurements for most dogs' coat length:

  • Tiny - Italian Greyhound size - 14 inches long

  • Small - Dogs weighing about 50 pounds - 26-28 inches long

  • Medium - Dogs weighing about 65 pounds - 28-30 inches long

  • Large - Dogs weighing about 75-85 pounds - 30-32 inches long

  • Extra large - Dogs weighing about 90 pounds - 32 inches long

Chest circumference - Measurement B on the diagram. This measurement begins right behind the dog's front leg, measure around the deepest portion of the chest. An accurate measurement helps us position the Velcro fastener correctly.

Chest circumferences are usually from 29 to 34 inches.

Chest Width - Measurement C on the diagram. Measure from the top of one shoulder, around the front of the dog's chest, under the dog's chin, to the same point on the top of the other shoulder.

Chest width measurements are usually between 15 and 18 inches.

M&M's Signature Snood - Buttonhole or not? If you use a harness on your dog, you can fit the harness over the coat (no buttonhole needed). If you use a dog collar, let us know and we'll add a buttonhole to the snood to allow for the collar/leash attachment.

Our Fabric

We have a wide variety of solid color fleece options. Some of the fabrics are no-pil (which means they don't get fuzzy when washed).

Our solid colors include: black, classic navy, medium blue, brilliant blue, light blue, hot pink, yellow, red, dark green, mint green and purple. Additional colors may be available from time to time; so, if you have a specific color in mind, just ask and we'll check our inventory.
